Like most local front-runners in the surrounding Seattle region, Reach for the Sky is a collection of members from former bands in the area. Their combined history spans a decade and has led them to share the stage with genre idols like Escape the Fate, Dance Gavin Dance, and Memphis May Fire. Officially named in the summer of 2012, after taking a performance hiatus, original members Micah Rosenbaum (Drums), Nathan Snyder (Vocals), Lorenzo Lamar Jackson (Bass), Vince Mindas (Guitar, Vocals), and Jon Werfelmann (Guitar) began recording their debut EP "Stormageddon" with producer Joel Casey Jones. Immediately following, the group hit the local circuit around the Seattle-Tacoma area and received high praise from fans and fellow band mates alike. Due to conflicting personal career moves both Micah Rosenbaum and Nathan Snyder stepped down to pursue personal goals. The task was then given to new vocalist, Jason Daggett, to complete the record with his abrasive and punishing vocal tones.
