His father's extensive record collection introduced him to the rich sounds of Cape Breton, East Coast, and Canadian music from a young age, profoundly influencing his artistic style. At 15, John embarked on his professional music career, focusing on Cape Breton Celtic and Folk songs. He developed his craft by touring with local cover bands across Maritime bars, pubs and performing at music festivals and conferences in Ontario and the United States. Starting with his 2010 LP, John's musical journey continues with the 2023 "Southern Sun" " and the latest Americana/Folk EP "Northern Moon,'" showcasing unique Telecaster influences.
