Kevin McGinnis has been a performing musician in the NYC music scene since the mid 90s. With the band the New Rising Sons he was signed to both Capitol and Virgin Records. Under the Virgin records banner the New Rising Sons recorded their debut album with producer Ted Niceley (Fugazi, Girls Against Boys) and engineer Carl Glanville (U2, Counting Crows). The album was mixed by industry great Andy Wallace (Nevermind, Reign In Blood). Since the end of the band in the early 2000s Kevin has played with bands such as Dopo Yume (Jordan Galland, Sean Lennon), Craig Wedren (Shudder to Think), The Bloothirsty Lovers, and quite a few others. Since 2002 Kevin has put out music under the name Twelve AM Flowers. The debut album 'nYc' was produced, recorded and written entirely by Kevin. Alex Newport did the mixing duties. The sophmore album was recorded and mixed by Carl Glanville and featured Kevin March on drums (Guided By Voices, Rentals) and Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu) on bass.
