Margaret Thornhill's Claremont Clarinet Festival, a summer performance and study opportunity for advanced clarinetists, is held as a summer conference on the beautiful campus of Pomona College in Claremont, California, annually during early June. The Festival emphasizes performance and study of solo and duo repertoire during a week which culminates in three public concerts. Participants perform in masterclasses with Artistic Director Margaret Thornhill and rotating Guest Teaching Artists, often members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and take private lessons with guests, with Dr. Thornhill and Associate Director, Dr. Wendy Mazon.
