I have been a composer of orchestral music and chamber music since the age of 12. Initially, I did not know how to notate music for the various instruments. The exception was the trumpet, because as a boy I took lessons for that instrument. So for a while, I notated all the instruments on staves with a treble clef, as if writing only for the trumpet. Later in my teen years I taught myself about music structure, notation, and orchestration by studying books from the library. Then, time allowing, I revisited the musical works I had composed earlier and notated them properly.
It is important to realize that the MP4 recordings on my music page were made using digitalized instrument sounds. They do not sound 100% realistic, and if you play them through speakers, they will sound thin and tinny. To preserve the reverb and other effects, please use headphones. (Digital instrument sounds that sound almost 100% real do exist. But at present I cannot afford them.)
