Itaka Media is a video communication company based in Brussels, Belgium, founded in 2013 by Alexandre Dechaumont. After 10 years of making videos as a hobby and 14 years of working in communication, Alexandre has decided to mix the two together by creating his video communication company. My approach is to make video communication easy by mastering all steps of video creation and distribution. The company is called Itaka media because I got inspired by the island of Odysseus (Ulysses) that I can see from the balcony of my father in law (yes, my wife is Greek!). I simplified a bit the spelling to keep things simple. The best way to know me is to look at my blog. For the techies, I shoot with a Panasonic GH4, a GoPro Hero 3 and a Sony HXR-MC50, I edit with Final Cut pro X and Aperture on a Macbook Pro and iMac 27".
