I’m a former Royal Marine who sold everything to chase a dream — travelling the world with my wife and our two dogs.
It was meant to be the start of everything.
Fast forward to December 2024: my 14-year relationship was over, one of my dogs was gone, and I found myself face-to-face with grief, isolation, and the darker corners of my own mind.
Now I live on a narrowboat with my best mate Hooch — the last of the old crew — and I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to keep my head straight.
I document the raw, unfiltered reality of starting again as a man in midlife: the mental health struggles, the silent battles, the moments of clarity, and the grit it takes to keep moving forward.
This is masculinity without the mask.
Grief without shame.
And rebuilding from the ground up — physically, mentally, emotionally — all with a dark, uncensored sense of humour.
Because there’s power in telling the truth.
And strength in refusing to stay down.
