Welcome to Gull Perch Historical Archives. I am a local historian based at the former RAF Bolt Head near Salcombe in South Devon. I own and fly a Luscombe 8A which was built in 1946. My main interest is the local history of which is very evident here even after 80 years. I look at many wartime flights that took place here between 1941 and 1946. My channel is focused on historical research of local events that took part here from 1939 until modern day. We have a very rich history in Devon and my films look at Railway, Road, Sea, Aviation transport and all the outstanding characters that were the movers and shakers of their generation.
