Ehimanre Asuelinmen, widely known as Emre Matthew, is a Nigerian composer and arranger celebrated for his contributions to worship music, particularly in Catholic liturgy. His compositions seamlessly blend African rhythms, Western harmonies, and a deep sense of spirituality, influenced by composers like James Horner, Christopher Tin, Hans Zimmer, Dan Forrest, and Mack Wilberg, alongside elements of rock and West African highlife.
Emre began his musical journey at the University of Lagos as a member of the Chaplaincy choir, where his passion for composition was ignited. In October 2024, he conducted a performance of his arrangement of 10,000 Reasons featuring 1,000 singers in Lagos, Nigeria.
