With music that is equally refined as it is raw, Austin Lee Stone’s songs deal honestly with what it was like growing up in the 90s and mid 2000s in the Midwest suburbs with big ambitions and hearing constantly that “your dreams are too big”. Childhood trauma and confrontations with death at an early age. Substance abuse, addiction, and recovery. And ultimately what it looks like to become a decent human who hopes he can give back to this world more than he takes.
Growing up in the punk rock and hardcore scenes of Des Moines, Iowa, he found himself distancing from those crowds and getting bored with time. He loved what was brewing in the underground hiphop scenes, and indulged in much of the trap house culture of the time.
Today his music blends emo, alternative rock and hiphop genres together in a transcendent way - captivating listeners with haunting, catchy hooks and unmatched storytelling ability.
