Brian Kimmel is a piano-driven Dharma pop artist, songwriter, and movement collaborator. He spent the last thirty years engaging audiences in participatory music offerings, concert-talks, and expressive arts practice for humanitarian and earth-based causes. A chant master and mentor in the Plum Village International mindfulness community, Kimmel has traveled internationally to co-facilitate workshops and performances around themes of Peace-building and Earth Justice. He performed as a headliner for Seattle Pride in 2003 and at Winchester Cultural Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005. A published writer, Kimmel's articles have been featured in the Mindfulness Bell, (2020), Shambhala Sun Magazine (2012) and an anthology by scholarly practitioners, “Dancing with Dharma: Essays on Movement and Dance in Western Buddhism” (2016). And in the last decade, he has release four studio recorded albums. He lives in Seattle and enjoys planting and harvesting weeds and vegetables from his garden.
