Often, Sa'J states that he enjoys sharing his "7", which represents the seven types of music that influence his sound (hip hop, R&B, funk, blues, jazz, gospel, and rock). The desire to strengthen the presence of live instrumentation in hip hop, which is the foundation of his sound, inspired him to form a band called Sa'J & Squad.
