ABOUT US
Claude Heater Foundation works to provide the resources to produce operas, concerts, and recitals, providing auditions to foster artistic and technical development of singers and to bring global communities together by making great music. The foundation is named after and supported by the American opera singer Claude Heater, an Oakland native and current San Francisco Bay Area resident, whose singing career flourished in Europe in the 1950s and 1960s. Later, Mr. Heater served as General Director of Oakland Opera and is also known for portraying the role of Jesus Christ in the 1959 film Ben-Hur.
