The Institute of Theological and Historical-Social Studies of Terni was born in 1975 as a Theological School and since 1984 it has been a cultural center that deals with literature, history, philosophy, theology, art, theater, music, cinema and communication. It promotes cultural events, takes care of book publications and video productions, manages the "Giunio Tinarelli" Library, the Cenacolo San Marco auditorium, the diocesan school of theology and pastoral care, the Terni Film Festival and the magazine "Adesso ".
The Terni Film Festival is an international film festival that has been held for 17 years in the month of November in Terni; deals in particular with spirituality, interreligious relations, social issues, the education of young people to volunteer, racism, migration, integration, disability and gender.
