ChessPlus Limited (chessplus.net) is a leader in games-based education. We deliver teacher training courses on behalf of the European Chess Union. The ECU School Chess Teacher Certificate course focuses on the didactics of chess and is designed to enable teachers to understand how to develop the thinking skills of children through the use of chess. The training course incorporates the SMART Method of teaching games which is the product of 20 years of research and practice into teaching strategy games in England and Sweden. We run the annual international London Chess Conference each December alongside the London Chess Classic. The conference is regarded as the leading educational event for educationists, headteachers, chess tutors and trainers involved with scholastic chess, to network, share ideas and develop projects. We are also taking a leading role in the Erasmus+ CHAMPS project to develop the topic of Chess and Mathematics.
