Noir Silence is a French-Canadian pop-rock band from Quebec. They are Jean-François Bernatchez, Samuel Busque, Jean-François Dubé, Michelle Lambert and Martin Roby. The group has made its mark with over 100 songs, including 33 radio singles and 13 music videos. The eponymous album (or Album Bleu, 1995) sold over 150,000 copies, winning the group three Félix awards. Titles such as Malade, Méo Penché, Le vent a tourné and En attendant de partir, took the band across the French-speaking world, playing to 100,000 people on the Plains of Abraham. Over their 10 albums, the quintet has accumulated two gold records and one platinum record. The group won a prestigious Classique SOCAN award for their cult song “On Jase de toi”, which played over 25,000 times on the radio.
