I am Lake Babine Nation-Needo'ats woman, I began sharing music in 2003 following breast cancer in 2001. At the time, I did not find any recorded Lake Babine Nation Feast music, so I began singing traditional feast music by watching videos of my uncle Dick Alec as he sang from his heart. In spring 2006, I recorded "Singing My Traditions" CD Needo'ats Lake Babine Nation Feast Style music. I always played guitar, I borrowed guitars to learn and my first guitar came from my husband Owen. My life is difficult, I will not say it is all wonderful and easy. But I am blessed by the music that pours out of my soul during the days I must sing to see good again. I believe we can make it through anything but many times I must sing it through. I live on Babine Lake, Granisle. My first few years was in Old Fort, my beautiful home; so close, so far away. I was taken away to residential school but I battled and kept my culture and traditions hidden in my heart. Tell your friends about me
