Aanchal Shrivastava is among the rare contemporary voices carrying Qawwali and Sufi music with authenticity and individuality — one of very few women performing Qawwali in its original form. Her music draws from the poetry of Bulleh Shah, Amir Khusrau, Baba Farid, Jigar Moradabadi, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and the living tradition of Indian folk, each rendered not as tribute but as testimony.
