Carson Station is a New Orleans-based band created by veteran singer-songwriter Mark Carson. Carson Station's diverse musical styles can be described as original music with a groove, covering many styles, including roots rock, country, pop, and old school r & b. Recently the band has won grants from the Jazz and Heritage Foundation and the Threadhead Cultural Foundation for their upcoming album, "Ghosts of New Orleans." Mark Carson is an award winning songwriter and performer with over 40 songs recorded by other artists in Nashville, New Orleans, and beyond His songs recorded by the group Chapel Hart, on their "The Girls are Back in Town" album, in 2022 reached #1 on the iTunes country charts twice. Mark has performed, among many other places, Tipitina’s, and the Pardi Gras Festival, the Gulf Coast Days Festival, the Mississippi and Pensacola Songwriting Festivals, and the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
