Damion’s love for music started while attending Happy grove high school in Portland. Damion left Jamaica and moved to the states but could not give up on his dreams to be an international dancehall artiste following the footsteps of his inspirations International artistes Marley family. Damion also reminisced on his dads influence as he can remember going to watch his dad perform at hotels in Jamaica with a band. In 2016 he recorded his first song dubbed “Gone” featuring Twaine Henry which was recorded in his home parish Portland. The creative lyricist Damion Hype now boasts his most recent EP titled My Version with 6 songs, his latest release features Yo Gotti CMG the label artist Big Boogie.
