Welcome to the Modes of Capture 2020 Symposium, Dance Transmission Across Distance and Time: Addressing our dynamic dancing present in relation to our shared lineages and possible futures. This year, the symposium explores how dance artists exchange knowledge and experiences across extended networks and through multiple generations that span distance and time. It asks how we might reimagine ways of artistic exchange and how we think about legacy and connection in light of current social and environmental realities.
