The Future Shape Of Sound is a 9-piece Rock’n’Roll Gospel outfit based in East London spear-headed by producer/guitarist Alex McGowan (aka Captain Future).
Having treaded the stages of many smooth niteries and major outdoor congregations (Glastonbury, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Red Rooster, Hipsville, Boomtown) with varying live incarnations of The Future Shape Of Sound, the band decided that now is a fine time to put in some graveyard shifts at the Church Of Rock’n’Roll to re-align some magnetic fields and scratch their rootsy mix of Rock'n'Roll Gospel and Primitive Blues into some platters.
The result is the 2018 released album “Shakedown Gospel” featuring many well-know faces from one of the most vibrant grass roots Rock’n’Roll scenes in London inc. Jim Jones, Son Of Dave, Big Boy Bloater, Paul-Ronney Angel, Janet Kumah, and many more…
