2020 improvisor in residence = Mariá Portugal.
Since 2008, moers festival -- the world-famous avant-garde festival -- has been inviting a person from the international scene of improvisers and non-mainstream musicians to live in the small town on the Lower Rhine, enrich the local scene, invite exciting artists and, of course, be present at the festival itself. The project is strongly supported by the Kunststiftung NRW, the city of Moers and the moers festival. 2021 is the 50th anniversary of the festival.
