Welcome to Campfire Songs. Each episode features a guest songwriter and a live acoustic performance of an original song. The campfire is an intimate setting, and each artist has a chance to share their song's story and it's personal meaning. The original idea was to challenge myself with a very difficult lighting and sound recording situation, but it has morphed into much, much more. There's a certain magic that happens around the fire, out in the woods after dark. The songs are boiled down to their basic elements- lyrics and acoustic instruments. As a filmmaker I am lucky enough to bear witness to the magic, and I get to share it here with you. I hope you enjoy Campfire Songs!
