Threnody is a Dallas, TX-based atmospheric metalcore act established in 2015. The band was formed by long-time friends Chris Cassimatis (guitar) and Austin Atkinson (vocals) writing demo tracks in their home studios. Taking influences from Silent Planet, Architects, The Devil Wears Prada, and more, the duo soon recruited John Soular (bass) and recently brought in Foch Bailey (drums) to round out their line-up. The band released their latest EP in 2018, titled "This Loss Is Love", featuring popular singles "Fractured" and "Risengrove", both being featured on Dallas radio station 97.1 The Eagle. Threnody is currently set to release new music in 2022 in hopes to expand their sound and grow as artists.
