NYC Pet Photographer offers documentary-style family photo sessions, Pop Up Pet Portrait Studio events, commercial/event photography services, and education for photographers.
Stacey Axelrod has been photographing pets since 2007 when she decided to use her Photojournalism degree to help promote adoptable dogs at her local animal shelter. Since then, she has photographed thousands of pets and their people throughout the NYC area and beyond.
Before starting her own business in 2018, Stacey worked as the Staff Photographer for the ASPCA and Best Friends Animal Society. Today she continues her work in the animal rescue world as a volunteer photographer for local rescue organizations and as a member of the Steering Committee for Foster Dogs, Inc. She is also working on a documentary project, Why We Foster, which tells the stories of adoptable pets and the people who foster them.
