NZ born, composer, ambient, folk-pop songwriter, music teacher and Celebrant. Moleta's non-classical music career started with local Perth punk band, the Brautigans. Two of Moleta's tracks, "Can You" and "111 Taranaki St", are included on the 1994 NZ Various Artists' compilation album, Runner: A Compilation of New Zealand Music. Joshua Glazer described her "haunting piano and whispered vocals". Her debut album, Trust 1992-1998 was self-published in 1998. Her 2nd album, Dive, was recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios during the August 1999 Solar Eclipse. Love has come again with Human Movement was released on Renaissance UK in 2000. New works on Bandcamp and Soundcloud. Sophie currently plays piano in an instrumental duo with Si Mullumby of Wild Marmalade, on Didgeridoo.
