Michael Ward is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and owner of renowned Hyde Street Studios. Living and playing in the Bay Area since 1967, Michael has fronted many bands, all of which have been built around his unique compositions. His current group, Michael Ward with Dogs and Fishes, blends elements of R&B, Jazz, Country, Folk, World Beat and Americana. The distinctive narrative voice of the lyrics is supported by the rich instrumental interplay between a stellar lineup of musicians with disparate but complimentary backgrounds, some of who have been with the band for twenty years. The lineup consists of Prairie Prince, Chris Von Sneidern, Drew Zingg, Richard Howell, Jeff Cleland and Fernando de Sanjines who have played with artist such as Steely Dan, The Tubes, Etta James and more.
