The Environmental Learning Center is a non-profit nature center located on 64 acres of Wabasso Island north of Vero Beach. It is open for public visitation year-round. Facilities include hands-on exhibits, aquariums, touch tank, elevated boardwalks through a forest, picnic pavilions, and gift shop. ELC's cell phone audio tour and field guides greatly expand a visitor's experience in learning about the Indian River Lagoon ecosystem. Admission to the ELC is $5 per person, children 12 and under free, and ELC members receive free admission year-round. The first Saturday of every month is free to all.
