DIY Van Build; 2024 Ram Promaster 3500 159WB EXT with Super High Roof! This is a 2-phase build. Phase 1 was a budget build to get us functional for 2-season use. No AC, no heat, no solar, no big battery bank. Basically, a big metal tent on wheels. Phase 2 is the deluxe version for 4-season camping. We fully anticipate a 1-2 year timeframe for the upscaling phase as the big ticket items to accomplish it need to be budgeted and spread out over time. We're the owner/operators of The Modern Moose at Buffalo Ridge, a long name for a little condo in Colorado. The Modern Moose is a Short Term Rental on Airbnb. The MooseVan will transport us from Ohio to the condo and more! The van concept evolved quickly after challenges with hotels that allow dogs as we traveled to/from the condo. The idea was to combine a daily driver vehicle, safe transport across the country, decent fuel economy, and a vehicle the HOA would let us park at the condo with a tiny home on wheels.
