A Live Music Sculpture is a site-specific work of art which explores the acoustic and spatial dimensions of different buildings and structures. Live musicians are arranged throughout an architectural space and the musical ideas move, jump and flow between them. This creates the impression of physical, three dimensional sound which an audience or spectator can explore at will. A Live Music Sculpture is specially constructed to resonate with the unique acoustical properties of the building it inhabits which means that it can only be performed within the particular space it is created for. The form was conceived by the composer Samuel Bordoli.
