Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao (STCC) is a non-profit organization based on the Caribbean island of Curaçao that protects sea turtles a by taking direct action. We focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and research activities as well as creating awareness within the community. Green Phenix arose from STCC and was founded for environmental purposes. The enormous amount of plastic debris along shorelines and in the ocean was transformed into a separate social enterprise with a mission to safeguard oceans. Thus helping sea turtles as well. STCC's vision is to open a rehabilitation center for sea turtles on the island. Curaçao is one of the four biggest known places worldwide for Fibropapillomatosis (FP) outbreaks. The rehabilitation center will give us the opportunity to take more care of FP turtles and create an international hub where scientists, researchers and vets can focus on this deadly disease.
