Every 14 minutes someone in the UK is told they have blood cancer. Often, their only chance of survival is a blood stem cell donation, but 4 out of 10 UK patients looking for an unrelated donor are unable to find a match.
Our mission is to provide a suitable donor for every person in need of a blood stem cell donation. We work towards achieving our mission by raising awareness and empowering people to register as potential blood stem cell donors in communities, universities and companies all over the UK.
We urgently need more people from a diverse range of backgrounds to register as blood stem cell donors, especially younger people.
With a larger and more diverse database to search, the probability of finding matching donors will hugely increase!
