Freyja Elsy is a cinematic indie-folktronica artist exploring themes of existentialism, feminism and nostalgic self-reflection. Her music has received support from BBC Radio Wales, BBC 6Music, Fresh On The Net and Buzz Magazine, with Adam Walton describing her debut single ‘Lungs’ as “off-the-scale evocative.” Selected for both the BBC Horizons and Forté Project in 2025, she has built a growing live and critical presence, including a headline performance at Paradise Garden, Cardiff.
Having undergone classical training from a young age and continued her music education at a university level, Freyja Elsy's artistic vision fuses orchestral sounds alongside electronic, folk, and triphop genres. Inspired by artists such as AURORA and Massive Attack, Elsy integrates both modern pop & classical techniques to create a resonating sound. Her journey from a classical upbringing to self-taught alt-pop production underscores her versatility and innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of music.
