Hi my name is Pumbaa Goess-Saurau and I am a 17 year old event rider. I'm currently based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. I have ridden ever since forever and have a passion for horses and eventing! In 2011 and 2013 I was selected to ride for the Great British team at the Pony Eventing European Championships on my pony of a life time, Killacoran Blue, where we finished 14th and 12th respectively. In the 2014 season I shall be campaigning 2 rides, Dunno Fear and Scotfree, in Junior trials, with a view of selection for the Junior European Team. For those of you wondering (and I can't think there are any who aren't!) my name, Pumbaa, is actually a nickname! My real name is Franziska but Pumbaa's stuck since birth. It comes from the warthog in The Lion King, what can I say? My Mother has a one-of-a-kind sense of humour and thought my first baby teeth looked like tusks...!
