Chris Hawtin (b. 1974) is a British artist based in Anixi since 2018. His work explores the fusion of technology and traditional artistic disciplines through painting and sculpture. Transitioning from landscape painting to portraiture, he blends classical and contemporary techniques to create hybrid, techno-organic figures that evoke both history and science fiction. Through layered processes, his work constructs fragmented narratives imbued with mystery, pathos, and nostalgia. Hawtin’s art challenges the boundaries between tradition and technology, high culture and entertainment, inviting viewers to piece together a world both familiar and alien.
