New Note Orchestra is a collective of musicians who have experience of addiction, homelessness and challenging mental health. It was founded by Molly Mathieson to try and inspire a creative approach to recovery in Brighton, UK.
New Note Orchestra offers a creative space and supportive community to make music and put on performances
The Orchestra increases self esteem, boosts confidence and develops new life skills for all participants. The orchestra is open to all tastes and styles of music, not just classical. It has an open door policy regardless of musical ability. We also extend a warm welcome to those who aren't in recovery but want to show their support.
