This is the solo and group work of dedicated improvisor and electro acoustic pioneer, Bonnie Kane. Integrating saxophone, flute, feedback and electronics, her music encompasses ambient, noise, free jazz, improv, psych rock, and jam band. A bandleader since the '90s, with 40+ releases, she has worked with: Godspeed You! Black Emperor, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Tatsuya Nakatani, Chris Forsyth, Kevin Shea, Walter Wright, Andrea Pensado, and more. She has toured extensively and new collaborations are always evolving. Her solo work is in both ambient and noise genres. During COVID, she broadcasts 2 weekly online shows, offering pandemic stress relief: Afternoon Noise: No Apologies (Wed. 3pm est) - using sax, flute, electronics and feedback, to shred the demons, and Transcendent Winds: Hour of Calm (Sun. 8pm est) - solo flute and 5 amplifiers, with extremely relaxing effects.
