Victor Kononenko (b. 1993) is currently pursuing a dual degree, with concentrations in Bachelor of Music in saxophone performance with Professor Debra Richtmeyer, and a Bachelor of Science with Agricultural Accounting concentration, at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). Originally from Moscow, Russia, Victor graduated from Moscow state high school #444 with specialization in mathematics, physics, and computer science (2011). He also finished M. L. Rostropovich children's music school with piano performance (2008) and saxophone performance (2010) degrees with excellence. He studied saxophone with Andrei Kravchenko, and he also had lessons and worked in masterclasses with famous saxophone pedagogues Frederick Hemke, Claude Delangle, Vincent David, Donald Sinta, Jean-Michel Goury, Otis Murphy, Kenneth Tse, Margarita Shaposhnikova, Alexei Volkov, Johanness Thorell, Nikita Zimin, Sergei Kolesov, and David Dees.
