The Bytes Project has over 25 years of youth and community work experience in Northern Ireland, working to inspire young people to become changemakers in their communities. We provide a range of services across the North, aiming to built trust with individual young people and ensure that our work with them caters to their needs. Launched in 2018, our Peace Bytes programme is a cross-community initiative aimed at engaging marginalised young people aged 14 - 25. Focusing on Newtownabbey, Derry/Londonderry and East Inishowen, our aim is to provide support and training for marginalised young people across community divides. For young people who complete the programme, a minimum of 3 OCN qualifications are guaranteed. This work is funded through the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Match-funding for the project has been provided by the Executive Office in Northern Ireland and the Department of Children and Youth Affairs in Ireland.
