(National Organisation for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) Working to legalise the responsible adult use of cannabis in Ireland NORML IRELAND seeks to gain recognition for the rights of people to peacefully pursue activities relating to cannabis without unwarranted intervention by the authorities. Description NORML supports the right of adults to use cannabis (marijuana) responsibly, whether for medical or personal purposes. All penalties, both civil and criminal, should be eliminated for responsible use. Further, to eliminate the crime, corruption and violence associated with any "black market," a legally regulated market should be established where consumers could buy cannabis (marijuana) in a safe and secure environment. NORML also supports the legalisation of hemp (non-psychoactive cannabis) for industrial use.
