Uptown Strings is a collective of Canada’s finest string players serving the wedding and event industry in the Greater Toronto, Calgary and Banff/Lake Louise area. We provide high-quality performances in the following configurations: Solo Violin/Cello, Violin & Guitar Duo, Jazz Trio, String Trio, and String Quartet. When asked about the new launch of this collective, Artistic Director and Founder, Darcy Stamp said “I am excited to offer “Uptown Strings” as the premiere crossover string collective in the events entertainment space in our area!” The “Uptown Strings” collective is a new crossover group consisting of Canada’s finest string players in the greater Calgary and Toronto areas. The group is as comfortable performing Mozart/Bach, as they are Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, or Frank Sinatra.
