It doesn’t take long after listening to darragh’s music to realise he says the quiet things out loud. His inner monologue lives on his sleeve and is amplified for everyone to hear. Whether it’s his sarcastic self-awareness, or an admission of his tendency to chronically overthink, darragh doesn’t lie in his music. Anxiety and self-awareness can be difficult topics to verbalise but darragh says in his music what can be difficult to say in conversation. Since he was a child, darragh’s had a tendency to make noise. Playing drums from an early age (generously encouraged by his parents despite the noise), picking up guitar at 14, and singing since birth, it was inevitable for darragh to turn to songwriting and music production as a form of catharsis. As an LGBTQ+ artist, darragh uses his own experiences to create relatable and personable pop music.
