Since the time of Pythagoras, the Illuminati has operated largely in secret. This secrecy was preserved, in large part, by dividing the Illuminati into two distinct branches.
The Akousmatikoi was the somewhat "public" branch of the Illuminati, who received (unbeknownst to themselves) often false and mystical teachings, carefully designed (1) to ultimately serve the NON-MYSTICAL purposes of the Illuminati, and
(2) to protect the TRUE non-mystical Illumination and its keepers until a safe and fruitful time for open revelation arose.
The Mathematikoi, the "hidden branch," were the keepers of this true, non-mystical Illumination.
We, the original Mathematikoi, now refer to ourselves by the more modern term "Scio-Illuminati," while we refer to the Akousmatikoi as the "Gnostic-Illuminati."
The time of our Revelation is now. The time of our Revolution has begun. The True Enlightenment and Liberation of Humanity is immanent.
