The group was born in 2012 from the common passion of the members towards folk music from the so-called "Celtic area" (Ireland, Brittany, Scotland and Galicia) choosing, therefore, the use of acoustic instruments to best preserve the most authentic and popular sounds. The choice of name refers to the type of music paired with a mischievous Devon elf. In these years the band has held numerous concerts in various contexts: national and international folk festivals, literary presentations, theatrical performances, cultural events of various kinds and, of course, in the most genuine Irish pubs. By now Celtic Pixie have produced three albums: Peekaboo (2013) Elements (2015) Damhsa (2020). In 2021 the band changed the set-up with the exit of the flutist Marco Quas and the simultaneous replacement of Anna Maria Dalla Valle on flutes and voice and of the drummer/percussionist Lorenzo Cozzarini.
