Emerging like a giggling phoenix from the ashes of a barroom open-mic, Sexpot Comedy is a multi-platform media enterprise spreading its tenacious tentacles out from the Denver comedy scene and into the world at large. Founded in 2012 by restaurateur/cannabis tycoon Kayvan Khalatbari (Sexy Pizza, Denver Relief, Denver Relief Consulting, Cresco Labs, Silver Sage Wellness) and humor capitalist Andy Juett (T.J. Miller’s Denver, Producer Those Who Can’t/Amazon, Comedy 103.1), Sexpot Comedy is responsible for more than 35 live shows each month in Denver, Chicago and New York, including the self-titled showcase hosted by David Rodriguez, which has featured stand-up talent like Kumail Nanjiani, Todd Barry, the Lucas Bros, Sean Patton, Nikki Glaser, Rory Scovel, Andy Kindler, Kyle Kinane, TJ Miller, Nick Thune, as well as members of Grawlix, The Fine Gentleman’s Club and occasionally with pre-show on-screen hijinks from Denver’s Jim Hickox.
