Inspiration hits in many forms it’s all about how you shape your perspective. That’s how I see life. Music and art are one and the same to me sampling bits and pieces to create something unique and original. Every sound, texture, or random moment has the potential to become part of something greater. Sometimes it’s not about searching for inspiration but recognizing it when it shows up in unexpected places a conversation, an old record, or even silence. ........ My artist name is Mingsta. I was born in Trinidad and Tobago and later migrated to Brooklyn, New York. While in Trinidad, I developed a deep appreciation for Calypso, Soca, and Reggae, sounds that shaped my early love for music. Growing up in Brooklyn exposed me to a wide range of genres from hip-hop to soul to dance music all of which fueled the creative fire that drives my sound today.
