This is the very beginning of a project that will take years to unfold, to expand…only completed by DEATH! For the past twenty years, Jennifer Robin has lived in Portland, Oregon, making recordings of her comic rants, stream-of-consciousness dream vistas, and performance-art manifestations, both solo and with electronic musicians. Raw noise, rock guitar, musique concrete, and free jazz instrumentations accompany her on many recordings, recorded in live-radio and rock club settings. Here are the first twenty of many videos to come, showcasing a variety of material. These first twenty videos feature character sketches, many from her upcoming book Death Confetti, released by Feral House. In the weeks to come, expect psychedelic jams with her in-studio band The Groop, which she featured for five years on her radio show, Night of the Living Tongue, as well as excerpts from science fiction novels, manifestos, prose-poems, performance art, and weekly video blogs.
