KeepUps are a duo from Chester (U.K.), making homespun old-school pop music, comprising Mike Lofts (Things That Never Happen) and Alistair Cumberford (Real PD, Scores on the Doors). The band blends synth pop and indie flavours with classic songwriting. KeepUps released their debut single ‘Expectations’ in November 2021 and put out a further six songs ahead of their debut self-titled album ten months later, taking listeners on a journey through synth-pop, torch ballads and indie pop-rock. Mike’s sibling John Lofts is a third creative presence on the project, contributing artwork and co-writing KeepUp’s single ‘You Need to Learn to Let Stuff Go’.
