David Salom discovered the oud at the age of 8 years. For 5 years he studied at the Conservatory of Damascus, where he graduated in 2012. He began composing in 2011. His musical compositions are impregnated with Andalusian influences. He wants to bring a new development to oriental music, a new dynamism. His technique, marked by Mounir Bashir and Nasir Shama offers a wide range of rhythms. Since his arrival in Germany, David Salom has given numerous concerts and is involved in the association "Musikalische Akzente aus Syrien - MAS eV", created on his initiative, to develop musical projects for the benefit of children of refugees, for a better intercultural understanding.
